When to Apply
This program prepares graduates to teach science at the elementary level, integrating disciplines such as biology, chemistry, and physics through hands-on, inquiry-driven approaches aligned with international best practices.
Graduates from this program will be equipped with both the scientific content knowledge and the pedagogical skills necessary to support young learners in developing curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities in science.
The elementary science education curriculum at AIU leads to a bachelor’s degree in education with a specialization in science. It aims to provide candidates with:
(i) an accredited professional qualification meeting the requirements of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Education for initial teacher education; and
(ii) a set of Graduate Attributes, including scientific literacy, inquiry-based teaching, and the ability to connect learning to real-world and environmental contexts.
