AIU Review - The Consolidated Culture

Growing up as a Kuwaiti in the Gulf region has had a substantial influence on the main research question of examining the aspects of Westernization in Kuwait. Based on personal experience, individuals from Kuwait, in comparison to other Gulf nationals, are considered to be the most influenced by the western culture, particularly in the context of freedom of speech and the leniency of religious restrictions. It has been an advantage to be raised in a hybrid environment and to be exposed to multiple cultures that emerged to be a consolidated culture. This advantage shifted focus to the whole idea of Westernization, not only for the research of my main practice but also the ability to expand my interpretation and examine the opposing idea of Westernization.
