Setting Standards: The AI & Cybersecurity GCC Forum

The AI & Cybersecurity GCC Forum held on November 15, 2023, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Kuwait City, was a significant event organized by American International University. This forum marked the first of its kind, focusing on high-level exchanges on the future of Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity and its integration into strategic business planning. It was tailored for top executives and government decision-makers, emphasizing the importance of AI and Cybersecurity in shaping the region's future.

Keynote speaker Dr. Anas Alfaris, co-founder and CEO of Intelmatix, brought his extensive expertise to the forum. With a global presence in Riyadh, London, and Boston, Dr. Alfaris has held notable positions, including Chairman of Saudi Arabia’s Science20 in the G20 and a member of UNESCO’s International Scientific Board. His background includes leadership roles in various national and international institutions and collaborations with prestigious organizations like Stanford, Oxford, MIT, and the World Economic Forum.

The forum was attended by government officials, technology experts, and CEOs from various sectors. It aimed to promote high-level dialogues and exchange expertise in the rapidly evolving fields of AI and Cybersecurity. The event, organized in collaboration with the Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA), included leading speakers and industry experts from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States.
