AIU Soccer Team – A Display of Sportsmanship

Earlier this year, the GEC (Golden Eagles Center) formed the AIU Men’s soccer team and has been kicking it off since! They played their first match on Sunday, March 5, against the Australian University (AU). The men did their best and knew that they would come back stronger for the next game. The AIU Men’s soccer team played another match on Wednesday, March 8 against International University of Science & Technology (IUK). In this match, they won 4-2 against IUK. After this game, the men came out of it super motivated and determined to continue winning. On Sunday, March 12, our team participated in their first ever UAAK league game. They played hard against Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST) with GUST winning by 4-2. A loss does not mean failure. As our team progresses, they grow and learn, making them stronger for each match. Finally, the AIU team beat Kuwait College of Science and Technology (KCST) by 3-0. This victory is significant for the Eagles, who are competing in their first season with teams from Kuwaiti universities. The Eagles have proven that they can compete with the best, and their victory is a result of their hard work and dedication.
