The School of Engineering and Computing offers seven majors: Biomedical, Civil, Chemical, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer, Industrial, and Mechanical Engineering.

School of Engineering and Computing Requirments
Students in the Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering must complete a minimum of 131 credits including satisfaction of all degree requirements of AIU. All coursework must be completed in accordance with the academic rules of AIU and those of the department.

Program Educational Objectives

Within a few years after graduation, graduates of Chemical Engineering Program are expected to be able to:

Modern society depends on the contributions of chemical and process engineers. They play a crucial role in resource management, environmental protection, and the implementation of health and safety protocols, all while innovating the processes essential for the creation of desired or necessary products.

A Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from AIU provides opportunities in chemical industries, oil and gas (exploration and production), pharmaceuticals, plastics, power generation, water management, waste treatment, consulting, education, food and beverage, healthcare, environmental health and safety, mining and minerals, and paper and packaging.
