Explore Kuwait this Spring

Kuwait is a beautiful country filled with many opportunities. Make sure you visit these sites to feel emerged in the culture. The list starts off with the Kuwait Towers. They are 3 towers that stand on a promontory into the Arabian Gulf. They were originally built as water towers but were named a national landmark due to their unique style. Another amazing monument is the Grand Mosque of Kuwait. It is the largest mosque in Kuwait and frequently holds free guided tours to anyone who wishes to visit. One of the most popular places in Kuwait is Souq Al Mubarakiya. Al Mubarakiya is one of the oldest souqs in Kuwait and was a center of trade before Kuwait’s discovery of oil. This market was heavily damaged during the Iraqi invasion but was rebuilt due to its cultural significance. It currently holds a range of accessory shops, fruit and vegetable stalls, food, clothing shops, and much more. The final destination on our list is the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center, otherwise known as JACC. JACC is also fondly referred to as Kuwait’s Opera House and is currently the largest one in the Middle East. It has concert halls, music centers, theaters, cinemas, libraries, a public park, and much more. Make sure you check out these amazing locations during spring break!
